The London School of Sports Massage (LSSM) has always been more than just a massage school and we are now pioneering 'Soft Tissue therapy' a new sector of modern healthcare. Our schools lead tutor is Mel Cash who is a published author of massage books and together with his close team of tutors who are all dedicated hands-on therapists they are the LSSM. We constantly strived to better meet the needs of our students & ultimately their clients. Progressing from our Sports Massage roots our tutors have acquired higher skills in the assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of people suffering with pain and injury which has given each of them a much wider scope of practice which helps make hands-on therapy a much more stimulating and rewarding life-time career.


Advanced Sport & Remedial massage training for therapists at our schools in London & Southampton. We believe we offer the highest level of hands on training available in the UK. Along with the other ISRM massage schools we train massage therapists to BTEC level 5 the level required for Soft Tissue therapy.

We offer An Introduction to Sports Massage class, BTEC Level 5 Diploma course & an upgrade to BTEC level 5 course for students that have already attained a level 4 certificate.

The INTRODUCTION course

Our intensive introduction to Sports Massage "hands-on" weekend teaches you all the main massage techniques for all main body areas. Ideal for treating friends and family and a perfect introduction and ‘taster’ for our main Diploma course.

The BTEC Diploma course (Level 5)

Trains you to become a professional Soft Tissue Therapist who can treat a wide range of minor and chronic injuries affecting people from all walks of life. This still includes Sports Massage which remains an important part of this more comprehensive therapy.

The UPGRADE BTEC course (Level 5)

For highly experienced massage therapists in long-term practice. It is a condensed version of our normal BTEC Level 5 training programme covering all the same advanced techniques and principles but not spending time on the earlier basic massage techniques.

Our CPD courses

We offer a range of advanced courses in a variety of related topics to help therapists to continue their professional development. As well as face to face course at a variety of venues we also have an online video library and other educational resources.
